Power of the child in 1 month
At the age of month, the baby tries to raise his head while lying down. He is already smiling in response to his mother, moving actively with hands and legs. By this time, he had grown a little and gained in weight.
The main food product in the diet of crumbs is mother’s milk or an adapted milk mixture. After all, it is breast milk that can provide the baby with nutrients necessary for its normal development.
Together with mother’s milk, the baby receives those important antibodies that will protect it from diseases. After all, it is not for nothing that children who receive breast milk get sick less often. The child’s nutrition in 1 month must be organized so that the baby receives a breast or milk mixture when he wants.
Breastfeeding
Feeding the crumbs at this age still occurs at his request. If until this time the baby received his portion of mother’s milk at least 10-12 times a day, in 1 month their amount is most often stabilized and becomes less. Basically, at 1 month, the baby applies to the chest 6-8 times.
When breastfeeding, it is advisable to adhere to some recommendations:
The child should never give breasts by force, it is better to gently remind him of his chest only by applying to her.
It is always advisable to feed the baby when he demands him. The hungry peanut will not hesitate, he will make his mother with his crying and even a cry that he is hungry.
It is very important during feeding the correct and convenient position.
It is not advisable for a child to give a dummy or a nipple, as well as supplement the meal of food with water, tea or mixture.
During feeding, it is recommended to apply the baby to only one breast so that he can get all the phases of mother’s milk. Depending on the phase, breast milk differs in its nutritional value. Front milk is considered less useful, the baby can only satisfy them with thirst. The most nutritious is the posterior breast milk, which the baby is best saturated. For the next feeding, the child needs to offer another breast so that the previous one can get milk.
In the case when the child is not saturated with mother’s milk (it is too little or it is not fat), complementary foods are introduced into the child’s diet – a milk mixture that is adapted to breast milk. You need to enter it into the baby’s nutrition carefully and gradually, starting with small portions. However, breast milk should still remain the main food product, and the milk mixture-only supplement it.
Artificial feeding
Not all mothers manage to establish and maintain lactation, so there may be a need for artificial feeding, using adapted milk mixtures. In case of illness of a young mother or her access to work, the child’s nutrition also consists of a milk mixture, which in its composition is close to breast milk.
When breastfeeding, there are no problems with the preparation and sterility of the mixture, because milk comes to the baby directly from the pure tank – the mother’s chest. Inconvenience begins simultaneously with the transition to artificial feeding, which requires compliance with some rules:
The adapted milk mixture should be safe and high -quality, do not cause allergic reactions and digestive disorders. It is better to consult a pediatrician with her choice.
Boots for feeding should be of high quality, with a convenient nipple.
Each feeding begins with thorough cleaning and sterilization of the bottle and nipples.
The milk mixture must be diluted with clean boiled water, following the instructions on the package.
The temperature of the finished mixture should not exceed body temperature. Also not acceptable is a cold milk mixture.
It is strictly forbidden to add fresh milk mixture into the rest from the previous feeding.
The finished children’s mixture is not recommended to be stored for a long time (more than an hour), in the refrigerator – up to a day.
