The diet of children after a year consists of products, with a high content of animal protein: eggs, milk, kefir, cottage cheese, meat, poultry and fish. In the daily menu of crumbs, dairy products, vegetables and fruits, meat, bread and sugar should be present. Within a week, he also receives cottage cheese, cheese, sour cream, eggs, fish and various cereals, based on the stipulated norms. After a year, the child is recommended to give combined vegetable, flour and cereal dishes, using milk, cottage cheese, grated cheese, meat and eggs as additives. Eggs remain a mandatory product in the baby’s diet, adding a boiled yolk to vegetable or other dishes. Only closer to three years the child can be given protein.
Milk and dairy products
Although the food of children after a year is slightly different from the menu of previous months, during this period the exclusion of milk and dairy products cannot be allowed from the baby’s diet. Every day, the menu should have mashed potatoes prepared from one or two types of vegetables: carrots, white or colored cabbage, pumpkin, potatoes, zucchini, onions or beets. In summer, a child can be given tomatoes or cucumbers, sweet pepper and eggplant.
It is advisable to give the baby fruit puree and juices daily. After a year, children can offer a little jam or jam, but not often.
