By 10 months, the baby learned a lot. He already has several teeth with which he himself can gnaw crackers, cookies or fruits. The baby also tries to eat on his own, taking out food from a plate with pens. Some children can already use a spoon by this age. In any case, at 10 months, you can already start this learning process.

Balanced nutrition of a child at 10 months should contain nutrients necessary for the growing body: vitamins, proteins, fats and carbohydrates. During the previous months, the baby gradually got used to new products. And now in his diet there are not only dairy products, vegetables and fruits, but also meat and fish, eggs, bread and cookies. Thanks to milk teeth, he learned to chew and, in addition to mashed potatoes and cereals, he can already eat more hard food. The baby eats 4-5 times a day, so his diet may coincide with the time of eating of the rest of the family. Despite the temptations to treat the peanut with something tasty from the “parental”, it is too early for him to give adult food.

Product processing method

In his diet there are still boiled or stewed dishes, as well as steamed. You should not offer the baby fried products, because its digestive system is not yet able to process them.

Low -fat meat and fish must be cooked without the use of seasonings, in the form of steam yoke or cutlets, pudding or souffli. At this age, a child can already give small pieces of boiled meat or fish, in white sauce or vegetable decoction. But only the meat should be soft, and the fish must be thoroughly cleaned of the bones.

Salt and sugar should not be present in the food of a 10-month-old baby, but only cranberry or lemon juice to season a baby dish. When preparing cereals, mashed potatoes and other dishes, it is advisable to use butter and purified vegetable (olive, sunflower or corn).

New products and dishes in the diet of the baby

In the menu of a 10-month-old child, you can gradually introduce new products and dishes that he is not yet familiar with. To diversify his diet, no more than times a week, you can replace the porridge with boiled pasta (preferably vermicelli), or milk soup with noodles. If until now the baby has received vegetable soup or broth as the first dish, at 10 months of age you can introduce fish soup in its menu.

A child can be offered cottage cheese casseroles and various puddings from cereals, with the addition of vegetables, fruits or berries. For their preparation, not only the yolk is used, but also the egg protein, which until that time was not present in the diet of crumbs. As a filling for cereals, casseroles and puddings, you can take wiped vegetables and fruits (apples, pumpkin, carrots, zucchini, etc.)

It is sometimes recommended to replace vegetable puree with raw vegetables grated on a fine grater. For baby food, grated carrots with wiped apples, berries or sour cream are perfect.

As drinking, a child is offered fruit juices, mineral water (non -carbonated), tea from chamomile flowers or rosehip fruits, dried fruit compote. Иногда вместо фруктового сока малышу можно дать кисель из фруктов.

Breast or artificial feeding

If throughout all months the main food product was mother’s milk or an adapted milk mixture, then by 10 months they fade into the background. Most of the kids, by this age are no longer applied to the chest, or this happens 1-2 times a day (morning or evening).
