Barbados is completely different from other Caribbean states. Walking along the coast built up in post -colonial and modern styles, you can admire a wide variety of ships moored near the embankment. In Bridgetown is also the only seaport in the country. The vast majority of the population professes Protestantism.
Large areas on Barbados are occupied under plantations of sugarcane – culture, for more than one century, the former basis of the local economy. Today, however, the role of agriculture in the economy of the island is small, and the main role is played by oil and tourism production: thanks to these industries, Barbados has become one of the most rapidly developing states of the world. Here, the extraction of limestone and natural gas, the electronic industry, the light and food industry, including the production of sugar and roma, are also well developed here. Tourists in this country are attracted by beautiful beaches and a vast network of hotels that can live up to the expectations of even the most demanding guests.
