The easiest way to get to Cambodia, having crossed her border with Thailand by bus. The first thing that catches the eye at the border is a huge string of various wagons that are loaded with fish, clothes and household items. These carts often pull the Cambodians themselves, harnessing them in the manner of animals. There is a smell of fish that cannot be rid of. All this is mixed with heat, dust and dirt. You will have to wait for a guide in some roadside cafe, and the dishes in this cafe will be quite dirty. Naturally, the service in a poor country is not so good. In addition, on the border with Thailand, you can see a large number of all kinds of gambling establishments, since in Thailand the gambling business is prohibited, so Thailand residents rush to Cambodia. At the checkpoint, you can see a large sign that says that all people crossing the border respect the children of Cambodia and do not subject them to sexual operation. This is the most acute problem of the poor country that is Cambodia.
It is worth noting that mined zones remained on the territory of Cambodia, the percentage of which is 1-2% of the total territory of the country. Local residents also assure that on the border you can notice terrorists who have remained since previous times, although their leader has long died. However, the guide assures that there is nothing to fear.
It is surprising that immediately behind the checkpoint begins a good asphalt road, which cannot be put in our bumpy roads in any comparison. On the road you can see scurrying cars and mopeds. It is worth noting that almost all drivers of vehicles travel here according to their own rules, so you need to be more careful on the road.
However, in Cambodia there is something to see. Take, for example, Angkor-thah, which was the capital of the Khmer Empire. Here you can see many ancient temples, bas -reliefs and even holes in the walls, in which gold bars and diamonds used to be located. Angkor Wat, the heart of Angkor -Thoma, is essentially a necropolis where former emperors are buried. This is the best place to visit when coming to a vacation in Cambodia.
